Lipofreeze®, also known as Cryolipolysis, is a safe alternative to surgical Liposuction. Our Lipofreeze® treatment is non-invasive and is used to reduce unwanted fat by using safe, but extreme cold, to break down fat cells, without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Do you suffer from stubborn localised fat deposits?   Say goodbye to the bulges acquired over winter and take advantage of the benefits of Lipofreeze®: your body will be slimmer right from the first session!

Body Acceptance

Body acceptance is something we all strive for and should do, after all, we are all different shapes and sizes, and this does not define our worth. However, with a holiday just around the corner, we know that some would like to feel a little more confident in their skin.

Here at Cryojuvenate, we offer a fat-freezing treatment known as Lipofreeze® treatment (CRYO LIPO).

Cryolipolysis Fat Reduction?

Cryolipolysis is a fat reduction treatment that utilises state-of-the-art thermal cooling to freeze fat cells. Our subcutaneous fat cells are more receptive to cold temperatures than other cells under our skin. Therefore, when the freezing treatment is applied it is solely targeting the subcutaneous fat cells. Other cells under the skin are not harmed by the cold temperature. So, when undergoing Cryolipolysis, what actually happens? The fat cells are frozen, and this causes a temporary condition known as panniculitis, which is essentially damage to adipose tissue. Once the procedure is complete these fat cells are then pushed out of the body through the lymphatic system (Avram & Harry., 2009).

The treatment works best on:

  • Hips, thighs, and inner legs
  • Abdominal fat
  • Underarms and back rolls
  • Under the chin

(Dierickx et al., 2013)

Scientific Research

Body Acceptance, Cryolipolysis, Fat Freezing & Bikini Bodies!

Scientific studies are now confirming the hypothesis that Cryolipolysis can be an efficient method to assist with fat loss. A human study by Sasaki et al (2014) identified that the treatment was effective at promoting fat loss around the abdomen, with patients noting significant fat loss when they came back for a check-up 6 months later. Some patients reported a fat loss of 21.5% in this study. What was also found in this study was that massaging the area after the treatment helped the treated area to return to normal body temperature quicker. Another study published in 2009 involving ten subjects reported a 20.4% and 25.5% reduction in the fat layer 2 months and 6 months after treatment, respectively (Coleman et al., 2009).  More recently, a retrospective multicentre study using patient surveys, photographic documentation, and caliper measurements. Results concluded that 86% of 518 subjects involved in the study showed significant fat loss (Dierickx et al., 2013). Cryolipolysis has not produced any significant adverse side effects in studies to date and any noted effects have been minor and temporary (Avram & Harry., 2009).

The Cryolipolysis Fat Freezing Procedure

Before the procedure, a 15-minute consultation takes place to ensure you are suitable for the treatment. Those people who are not in good overall physical, mental, and emotional health may not be good candidates for the procedure. After this, the process will begin and each targeted area will be treated twice for best results, however, it is best to wait 4-6 weeks between treatments and ensure you massage the area daily for 5 minutes.

Will it hurt?

Cryolipolysis at Cryojuvenate

The procedure does not hurt however there can be a little discomfort when the suction cups are first applied and sometimes for about 10 minutes afterward until the area goes numb. After this, you do not feel much throughout the rest of the treatment. As the cups are removed at the end of the treatment the massaging of the frozen fat can sting just a little. There can also occasionally be a little tenderness for up to a week after treatment, but this is normal and will subside over the course of the week (Nelson et al., 2009). Other than that, we get feedback from clients that the procedure is quite relaxing.

Patient Results

Body Acceptance, Cryolipolysis, Fat Freezing & Bikini Bodies!

Patience is key! Results are not instant and will become apparent after the second treatment on the targeted areas. You may notice initial improvements within 2 weeks of treatment, but the final results can take 8-12 weeks (Nelson et al., 2009). All good things take time remember and provided you support the treatments with a healthy balanced lifestyle you will see results.

Testimonials

Tina – “It has changed my life!”

Body Acceptance, Cryolipolysis, Fat Freezing & Bikini Bodies!

Tina, goes to the gym and eats healthily but was frustrated that her thighs didn’t seem to be becoming more toned. She’d been to the doctors and they had told her that it was a lymph drainage issue and that there was nothing they could do other than prescribe her water retention tablets. Tina was upset as she was a size 12 on her top half and a size 14 on her bottom half and she lacked body confidence. The tablets didn’t seem to help.

She came to Cryojuvenate as she had read about the LipoFreeze treatment and as it was more affordable than evasive procedures such as ‘Lipo Suction’, she decided it was worth a go. Our therapist immediately agreed with the doctor and Tina that it looked like a lymph drainage issue as she’d seen similar before. They set to work to begin the course of LipoFreeze!

After a few sessions, Tina dropped a ‘trouser’ size and is a size 12 on her legs as well as on her top half! She has had to buy new clothes, including a pair of shorts which she hasn’t dared to wear for years. Tina says that in the past she would run down to the sea on holiday and ditch her towel at the last minute before jumping in so that no one could see her legs; now, she’ll happily saunter down the beach, without a towel. “It has changed my life!” That’s an amazing endorsement.

Janice

Body Acceptance, Cryolipolysis, Fat Freezing & Bikini Bodies!

Janice is 73 and wanted to reduce her ‘turkey neck’ as she called it. She was already a client with us and enquired about LipoFreeze to help with this. Cryojuvenate has a chin cup for this 45 minute procedure and after each treatment, if the client would like, we can measure using mini callipers to take accurate measurements of the chin neck to see the difference.

After the third treatment, there was a notable difference in the circumference – but Janice knew this already as her friends had been commenting, “There’s something different about you.” They couldn’t quite work out what it was … and Janice has kept it a secret!

“The procedure feels good,” says Janice and she has returned every four/five weeks to have another treatment. Janice would “highly recommend” the chin cup which is great!
