It’s Cryojuvenate’s Birthday
On Wednesday 11th March we will be celebrating our birthday. We can hardly believe it ourselves, but yes we are three years old. On Saturday March 11th 2017 we opened our doors in the heart of the historic town of Sevenoaks and what an incredible journey it has been.
People often ask how did I come to open a ‘Cryotherapy Business’ and why? That is a good question and to this day I still pinch myself to believe that I actually I brought my vision to fruition. In 2016 I was made redundant from my city career, probably the best day of my life – it was then I envisaged a change, something new, something meaningful.
Throughout my entire life I have always been a sports enthusiast. At school I always signed up for sports clubs, whether that be cross country, trampoline, netball, athletics. I took pride in my active flair and was devastated when I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at just 13 years of age. This crippling, agonising illness meant missing out on things I was once part of. I was luckily enough to overcome the illness by the age of 18 and a second chance to pursue my sporting goals, and that feeling of achievement when I finished the 280-mile cycle from London to Paris is a feeling I will never forget. I am aware that not everyone gets that chance again, and made it my objective to find a treatment that gave people the second chance they deserve. If Cryotherapy was available back then, I’m pretty sure it would have saved me the pain and heartache of being forced to say no to things I wanted to say yes to.
I discovered Cryotherapy when I was watching an episode of a well-known American housewives programme – while they were obsessed with the beauty benefits, I became obsessed with the health benefits. After extensive research and a growing interest for this new technology, I decided that this was the path I was going to take to be able to offer a service that quite literally was only available for the elite and rich and certainly not in a local town. From that moment onwards I didn’t look back………the rest is history!
Celebrate with a ‘Cake’ and a ‘CRYO’
Look at this beautiful ICE Cake which has been lovingly made by a lovely local lady ‘Carole Goldring’ to whom we can’t thank enough. This is an amazing two tier cake and everything you see on it is edible, even the tall icicle on the top. As many of you may know we like to get involved in the local community, so in the next few days we will be ‘raffling’ this beautiful (and I suspect very delicious) CAKE along with a CRYOTHERAPY treatment to the value of £50 in aid of Parkinsons UK as part of our birthday celebrations.
I have a very personal reason for raising money for this charity after losing my dear dad to this deliberating disease (with no cure) late in 2019. This was after an eight year battle and a slow decline, so to be able to help by raising funds towards the ongoing research and development of Parkinsons to help others is a very worthy cause.
Tickets will be available to purchase in our clinic at £5 per strip.
