As I stepped off the plane in Dallas for CRYOCON 2025, I felt a familiar excitement—one I hadn’t felt since launching Cryojuvenate UK eight years ago. Being one of the original pioneers of cryotherapy in the UK, I’ve watched the wellness and recovery industry evolve from a niche offering to a global movement. But nothing quite prepared me for the energy, innovation, and sheer passion I experienced at this year’s CRYOCON.
A Little About My Journey
I founded Cryojuvenate UK back in 2016, driven by a personal fascination with cold therapy and a desire to bring cutting-edge treatments to everyday people. At the time, the concept of cryotherapy was still relatively niche in the UK. Inspired by the science and the results I saw first-hand, I’ve made it my mission ever since to continually evolve, educate, and empower our community through advanced recovery and wellness technologies.
Cryotherapy has come a long way since it was introduced by Japanese rheumatologist Dr. Toshima Yamaguchi in the late 1970s. What began as a revolutionary treatment for rheumatoid arthritis has evolved into a holistic health and performance tool used by elite athletes, wellness enthusiasts, and people seeking natural healing alternatives. So why do I love cryotherapy so much? It’s simple—it changed my life. When I discovered it, I wasn’t just starting a business; I was stepping into a mission. Cryo became a daily ritual for me, a space where I could see both mental clarity and physical recovery come together in one beautifully cold moment. Knowing your service, understanding its science, and living its benefits—that’s where the magic happens. That’s how you deliver real transformation to clients.
What hasn’t changed is the core principle: cold heals. Over the years, I’ve fallen in love with this modality and the incredible transformations it brings. To understand cryotherapy is to truly understand its origins, applications, and future potential—and CRYOCON 2025 perfectly embodied all of that.

What Made CRYOCON So Special
The CRYOCON Convention itself was nothing short of amazing. Immense credit goes to the stellar organisers: Larz Lofty, Antra Getzoff, and Kelly Carden. The entire event was beautifully run, from seamless registration to inspiring breakout sessions and impactful stage talks. Every room was bursting with energy, ideas, and innovation for wellness professionals—especially for small business owners like me navigating a rapidly expanding market.
Immersed in Innovation: A Glimpse Into the Future of Wellness
One of the highlights was the chance to get hands-on with so many incredible technologies—all under one roof. From Salt Therapy chambers to the latest generation EMSculpt devices, and the beautifully designed InfraRed Contour Pod by Next Wellness, the TrueCryo Kassan which is a jem local cryo device, the sheer variety of innovation was mind-blowing. I even sampled clinical Brain & Cognitive Gummies designed to support mental clarity and function, and learned about a fascinating new pin prick test that can measure mitochondrial performance—yes, we’re getting that precise now.

EMSculpt with Red Light
And of course, I couldn’t resist trying out some new cryotherapy chambers. The Artica Systems Vortex was a standout—powerful, efficient, and on par with the MECOTEC, but with the option to turn up the cooling for an extra punch. It delivered that deep cold I love, but with even more intensity and control. Then came the NEOSCIENCE LUNA, which definitely gave me the chill factor! The airflow was sharp and invigorating—the wind on my face was almost too intense at times, but overall it felt incredibly refreshing. A totally different sensation, but one that absolutely delivered on impact.
Elsewhere, I discovered The Wasabi Method, explored Sound & Massage (the Z-5 Experience) by SomaLive, and even came across a pair of Nomotec & Nike compression trainers—yes, actual trainers that look like something from a sci-fi movie – just next level! Honestly, the list was endless, and it left me inspired (and a little in awe) of where this industry is heading. I even had time to catch up with my colleagues from Mecotec. It’s clear the future of wellness is not only about recovery—it’s about personalised, immersive, tech-led experiences that treat the body and the mind.
Speaker Insights That Blew My Mind
CRYOCON wasn’t just about celebrating the industry – it was a serious learning experience, packed with expert speakers covering topics from business growth to cutting-edge tech and longevity trends. Here are just a few that really made an impact:
Two standout speakers stole the show: Dave Asprey and Gary Brecka. Hearing their insights in person gave me a fresh perspective on where our industry is heading and how to stay on the leading edge.
Dave Asprey on Biohacking & Performance
Dave Asprey, often dubbed the “Father of Biohacking,” reminded us that our greatest asset in business is ourselves. “If you want to grow your business, you need to grow yourself,” he said—a statement that landed deeply with me. He talked about the importance of performance management, self-awareness, and conscious control over our mental state. His reflections on resilience and hiring the right people resonated—especially his advice: “Sack someone the first time your gut tells you something is off.” Brutally honest, but necessary.
He also spoke about the power of relationships, not just in business but in our personal lives. Entrepreneurs often carry a lot in silence, and Dave encouraged us to find support—whether through a therapist, a relationship coach, or a strong community. I walked away re-inspired to build not just a strong business, but a grounded and connected life.

Gary Brecka’s Data-Driven Longevity Insights
Gary Brecka’s talk was electric. With a background in human biology and mortality data, he brings a whole new depth to the wellness space. His energy and insights on genetics, longevity, and performance pushed us all to think more scientifically about what we’re offering our clients. His belief in combining intuition with data is something I deeply resonate with—and it reinforced the value of knowing your protocols inside out.

Other Notable Talks & Trends
Nicolas Quehon – CryoApp PRO
This app is a game-changer. It customises cryo protocols based on over 600 real user profiles. This type of personalised service is where our industry is heading—and it excites me to see tech like this becoming accessible. It allows clients to input their goals and lifestyle, providing a personalised protocol based on data from over 600 actual user profiles. This kind of personalised care is the future, and we’re already exploring how to bring this tech into Cryojuvenate.
Robin Kuehne – Stacking Modalities: The Myths and Truth
Robin challenged a lot of assumptions—like calorie burn in cryo (not as high as some claim). But what he emphasised was skin temperature being the real marker of treatment efficacy. His approach to proper dosing in red light therapy was also eye-opening.
Dr Adam Boender – Peptides: The New Biohacking Currency
Dr. Boender dove into the world of peptides—natural molecules produced by the body that act as biological messengers. He framed them as “code,” not just fuel, offering precision, safety, and performance at a cellular level. The future of human performance, he explained, is about optimising cellular energy, reducing inflammation bottlenecks, and improving neurological adaptability.
What resonated most was his comparison: “Vitamins are for fuel. Peptides are for code.” That really shifted my thinking.
David Guttman – How to Start, Grow & Exit Your Business
This was gold for any business owner. David highlighted the common reasons businesses fail—lack of execution, unclear goals, and poor team dynamics. He urged us to think about sustainable marketing, pricing strategies, and long-term value when building services
One of his key insights: “A budget isn’t a limitation; it’s telling your money where to go.” And his emphasis on tenacity, self-belief, and preparation hit close to home.
Larz Lofty – What Success Really Mean
Larz reframed success as more than money or fame. For him—and for many of us—it’s about balance, autonomy, and joy. He introduced the idea that 85% of success stems from attitude, with only 15% being actual skills. That struck a chord.

The Big Picture
One of the biggest themes at CRYOCON 2025 was stacking modalities—pairing treatments like red light, compression, IV therapy, PEMF, and cryotherapy to create powerful, client-centred protocols.
There’s also a growing understanding that cryotherapy is real wellness, not a trend. With the rise in at-home options like cold plunges and new developments such as the ChillyBox, the public is more educated than ever. Our job now is to continue that education and deliver excellence in-studio.
The Launch of CINA and the CRYOCON Award
The CINA Awards ceremony was an unforgettable evening – glitz, glamour, and a strong sense of community. I was bursting with pride seeing my dear friend and fellow UK cryo pioneer, Maria Ensabella of London Cryo, nominated for the CRYO AMBASSADOR award. She was up against industry giants like Gary Brecka – what an achievement! The evening was absolutely fabulous, a beautiful meal, a stellar line-up of speakers, and unforgettable company.
Final Thoughts: Innovation, Friendship & the Future
CRYOCON 2025 was more than just a convention—it was a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come and how much potential the future holds. From salt rooms to red light therapy, the conversations around stacking modalities and packaging services really resonated with me. The emphasis on client education, ethical marketing, and authentic testimonials echoed the very principles Cryojuvenate was built on.
I returned to the UK energised and inspired—with a suitcase full of ideas, a heart full of gratitude, and yes… a brand-new red light device that will soon be making its debut in our multi-modality facials. It’s another exciting step forward in how we continue to evolve our services and create even more value for our clients. Watch this space!
But beyond the tech and trends, what stood out most were the people. I had the privilege of meeting some of the most passionate, forward-thinking individuals in the industry. These connections, these shared stories, are the true heartbeat of our wellness community—and I’m certain some of these relationships will last a lifetime.
To those who made CRYOCON possible—thank you. To everyone I met—I’m grateful. And to anyone in the cryotherapy or wellness space who hasn’t been—make it a priority. The energy, the insight, and the camaraderie are unmatched.
Here’s to the future of cryotherapy: innovative, inspiring, and yes—colder than ever… but in the best possible way.
